We've had the green chili cheeseburger the last two times we went to Clayton, and it was phenomenal both times
Stopped while traveling through. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Hamburger was cooked well. My onion rings were okay but nothing special as advertised. Located on highway 87 on pass through route from Texas panhandle and mountain destinations in New Mexico
All restaurants were closed in Clayton from Yelp site. We happened to see this place before leaving Clayton. It was good and basic. The restrooms were clean. I ordered the chicken fajita salad. It was grilled chicken, onions and bell peppers served over fresh iceberg and tomato's with grated cheese. My husband had the green chili burger. It was a grilled hamburger patty on a piece of bread covered in a green chili with ground beef. It was topped off with french fries. We were hungry so it hit the spot. We will stop here again. The service was good.
Great place to stop in for lunch on a trip. We were happy with everything we ordered. The place was busy, but the only server was still friendly and attentive. I believe we found our new routine stop on our way to and from Colorado.

This place is exactly what one should expect from a restaurant in a very rural community. Down home comfort food. Nothing fancy. Good service from a busy waitstaff during rush times. I got the Chicken Fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. . . and it was spot on delicious.
Great place to eat. Cook seems to know how to cook all their dishes. Service was good. I'd recommend the hamburger steak meal. Menu is loaded with all types of foods.
